Meet the Coaches


 

 Head Coach - Jerry Jerome

j Jerry Jerome is beginning his 3rd season as the Head  Women’s Basketball Coach at Southeastern, but is no stranger to Southeast Iowa.  Jerry grew up in Ft. Madison and has been living in Keokuk the past 22 years.  Coach Jerome graduated from Western Illinois University earning a Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education.  He is tremendously excited and honored to be in charge of the women’s program at SCC.

 

Jerry spent the previous seven seasons coaching at Keokuk High School where he led the Chiefs to two state tournament appearances and a second place finish in 2006.  Before that he spent eight years at Warsaw High School in Warsaw Illinois.  During this tenure there Coach Jerome led the Wildcats to a fourth place in the Elite Eight in 1997.  In 15 seasons of coaching high school basketball in Southeast Iowa and West Central Illinois, he amassed a record of 262 wins and 128 losses. Coach Jerome is married to Dana Hendricks and has two children Sady and Bianca.  Jerry and Dana have three grandchildren Gavin, Abbot and Tyce. 

 

 

 Assistant Coach - Ashley Nagel

nagelAshley Nagel enters her 3rd season as a member of the SCC Women’s Basketball Staff. Prior to joining the SCC staff, Nagel attended Culver Stockton College in Canton, MO where she earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology. She was also a part of the Wildcats Basketball Team all four years. Nagel is excited to be a part of the Blackhawks Team.

 

 

 

 

 Assistant Coach - Frank Almon

fFrank Almon enters his 3rd season as a member of the SCC Women’s Basketball Staff. Prior to joining the SCC staff, Almon served as an assistant coach under current SCC Head Coach Jerry Jerome at Keokuk (Iowa) High school the last 8 years.  Almon also coached Boys basketball at Keokuk High School for 5 years. The Quit man, Texas native attended Quitman High School and he graduated from Western Illinois University with a B.S. in Physical Education in 1991.  Almon has one son, Austin, who will be following the team this season.    

 

 

 Assistant Coach - Jeff Sisk

jThis will be Jeff Sisk's second year with the Blackhawk Coaching Staff. Most recently he was the Head Boy's Basketball Coach at Keokuk High School, serving 3 seasons with the Chiefs. Prior to that he was the Head 9th Grade Girl's Basketball Coach at Keokuk for one season and the Assistant Boy's Basketball Coach at Southeast Polk High School for the previous season. His college coaching experience includes a season at Grand View College, where Sisk was the Assistant Men's Basketball Coach, including the head position for the JV squad. He also coached three seasons at Creston High School as the Head Boy's Basketball Coach. Sisk is a graduate of Keokuk High School and finished his college work at William Penn.  Coach Sisk and his wife, Heather, have 2 children, 4-year-old Jordan and newborn Kylie.
