The commencement ceremonies for Southeastern Community College 2012 graduates will be held as follows.
SCC CELEBRATES NATIONAL POETRY MONTH WITH MARY FONS
Southeastern Community College will celebrate April as National Poetry Month by hosting a Visiting Writers Series event on Saturday, April 14, at 8:00 p.m. Scheduled to read is Mary Fons, a nationally ranked slam poet, freelance writer, and Neo-Futurist. SCC's Culture on Campus Committee and Di Dante Literature & Writing Club will co-host the event.
SCC Foundation Scholarship Deadline for Fall Awards is April 1
The application deadline for consideration for SCC Foundation and SCC Alumni Association fall 2012 scholarships is 4:30 p.m. on April 1.

Southeastern Community College Volunteer Literacy Program is seeking new volunteer tutors. The program is designed to help students who do not know how to read, or who read at a sixth grade level or lower.

Keokuk Zombie Walk to Support the Arts at SCC on Friday, October 21
SCC Keokuk campus Drama and Art Clubs will host Keokuk's Inaugural Zombie Walk Supporting SCC's Arts on Friday, October 21. The walk will begin at River City Mall in downtown Keokuk. The walk starts at 6:00pm. Registration and a demonstration will start at 5:30pm.
