Taste of Fine Wine, Arts & Ale Fundraiser on March 6

The SCC Foundation's Annual Taste of Fine Wine, Ale & Arts will be held on Saturday, March 6 at 6:00pm at the Pzazz! Event Center. The evening will showcase wines from 12 vendors, including local wineries like Heartland Harvest, Wide River Winery, and Baxter Winery and from HyVee’s many distributors. Beers and ales from the Lost Duck Microbrew, Millstream Microbrew, Fleck Sales and Golden Eagle Distributing will be available for sampling, and the Pzazz! chefs will feature an array of delicious hot and cold appetizers.

Proceeds from the event will fund SCC scholarships and program funds.

"The economy is very difficult for some. Funds raised help those students who need it most. Our patrons are always very generous. Last year we raised $20,000. We're hoping to top that this year," says SCC Foundation Executive Director Becky Rump.

The event includes a student art show with a number of art pieces available for purchase. Silent and Live auctions will feature a host of exciting items donated by staff and friends of SCC.

Tickets are $50 each. Sponsor Tables for eight people are $500 and include reserved seating, proximity to the stage, party favors and served hors d’oeuvres. To order, contact Julie Glasgow at 319-208-5062 or jglasgow@scciowa.edu. See our full program here.

The Southeastern Community College Foundation was established in 1982 to attract, manage and disburse contributions for the support of Southeastern Community College. Areas in which assistance will be rendered include, but are not limited to:

  1. enhancement and extension of facilities, equipment, and services and,
  2. awarding of scholarships, grants, and/or loans to students, faculty, staff and departments of the college or to the college governing board.

The SCC Foundation provides an opportunity to invest in the development of our regional workforce and gives the gift of a quality education to many who otherwise could not afford this important advantage. Telling us about you Planned Gift makes you a member of our Legacy Society. Gifts of all kinds are listed in the Foundation's annual report in the SCC VISION newsletter.
