New Students

Follow this checklist and you'll be a Blackhawk in no time!

Note: If you took SCC classes in high school, and are now applying at the college level, you are considered a new student.

1. Explore our programs of study and related careers.
2. Complete the online application for admission.
3. Learn about how to pay for college. Understand financial aid and payment options, apply for the FAFSA and available scholarships.
4. Send your transcripts.
   Submit an official final high school transcript or high school equivalency score and an official copy of any college transcripts to the registrar's office at:

   West Burlington, IA 52655 
5.  Complete your pre-enrollment info session.
6. Complete any assessment requirements.
7. Watch for an email from us regarding your next steps.
