Are you ready to graduate?
Request to Graduate Form
If you think you have completed (or will soon complete) the requirements for your program, be sure to fill out a Request to Graduate form and turn it in to the Registrar Office. Even if you don't plan to participate in the ceremony, the Registrar needs this form completed to evaluate your record and award your degree.
Already filled out the Request to Graduate form? Then just make sure we have your name on the Graduate List. Please verify your name is spelled correctly and your degree information is accurate as this is the list used to print the programs for the ceremony. This list will also be used to print your actual diploma once the Registrar Office has finished the final evaluation of your transcript. If any information is incorrect, please let the Registrar Office know ASAP!
Graduation with Honors
Qualifying students are recognized as meeting the requirements of Graduation with Honors at the commencement ceremonies. To see if you qualified, check the Honors List and stop by the Enrollment Services office to pick up your medallion.

For Your Friends & Family
Tickets are not required for the ceremonies, therefore there is no limit to the number of guests you can bring along on your big day. We only ask that your guests take note and not sit in any of the areas that are roped off or marked as "reserved" seating for the graduates, faculty, and alumni award recipients. Also be aware if you have a large group it may be necessary to split groups in order to seat everyone.
For the West Burlington ceremony, disability seating is available at the Memorial Auditorium on the mezzanine level which can be reached by use of the elevator. Since disability seating is limited, tickets are required for disability seating at the Grand Theatre in Keokuk. If a guest at the Keokuk ceremony requires disability seating, please contact Deanne Enderle (319-313-1923), so tickets may be issued.
For your benefit, we have made arrangements with GradImages for a professional photographer to record the moment you are awarded your diploma. This service will enable all students to have a photo of their graduation. Families are encouraged to remain in their seats, enjoy the ceremony, and limit picture taking to before and after the presentation of diplomas. We feel that you will be satisfied with the high quality of the resulting photograph. If you have any questions regarding the photographer, GradImages can be reached at (800) 261-2576 or www.gradimages.com.
Diplomas are mailed to students approximately 4-6 weeks after the end of the semester in which they completed their program.
