A Key Training Principle:

Identify training needs before trying to implement a training solution.

Why do it? To develop an appropriate solution based on your findings. Training needs assessments gather information to identify the most effective solution. CBIZ can provide all levels of assistance, from general guidance to structured analyses.

Types of Needs Analyses:

Context - analyzing the business needs and the history of the organization's training approaches

User - analyzing the potential participants for knowledge, learning style and suitable delivery methods

Work - analysis of the tasks being performed, and defining the main duties and skill level required

Content - analyzing the procedures, regulations and documents used on the job, typically utilizing an experienced worker or subject matter expert

Training Suitability - analyze the suitablity of training as a solution for employment or workplace issues. 

Cost-Benefit - will effective training return value to the organization greater than the investment in training
