The Center for Business at Southeastern Community College offers convenient, streamlined CDL training programs designed to get you on the road quickly.  Tremendous job opportunities are available through our lifetime placement program.

PLease call to make an appointment at 319-208-5382. Offices for the truck driving school are located in Building 300 which is on the northwest corner of Southeastern Community College's West Burlington campus.  Use the entrance on the west side of the building. As you enter the building take the 2nd door on your left.

We offer both full time (M-F) classes and part-time (Sat.-Sun.) classes.  Weekend classes are offered on a first-come, first-serve basis and are subject to maximum size limitations.

 

Admissions Requirements 
  • Must have a valid driver's license
  • Must be physically capable of performing tasks related to driving a truck
  • Must be 21 years of age or older (18 years old for in state driving)
  • Must have no outstanding warrants for arrest
  • Should have no felony convictions during the last five years
  • Should have no conviction for Driving Under the Influence, Driving While Intoxicated or similar conviction during the last five years
  • Should have no more than three moving violations in the last three years

Our program maintains a "no give-up" policy, meaning that no student exhibiting a good attitude and reasonable effort will be penalized or dismissed for slow progress.
