Small Business Development Center


The Iowa SBDC provides free one-on-one confidential business consulting by trained staff professionals. The SBDC offers counseling on a broad list of topics including, but not limited to:

The Center also provides the following services at a fee;

  • Classes and Workshops to help you, the business owner, grow and enrich your business knowledge.
  • QuickBooks one-on-one training at your business site, at your convenience.

 

The Southeastern SBDC has an abundance of free resources for small business owners such as the following;

  • E! Connection, a networking group that meets four times a year to network and hear from a guest speaker on a topical issue 
  • Trial copies of VistaPrint
  • Free Magazines for Veterans, Vetrepreneur
  • Free Magazines such as Small Business Success, Franchise, and JCI Leader

The Center has a resource library featuring books on writing a business plan, marketing your business, an Iowa guide on hiring employees, business plan samples, and much more. Books are available to loan out.
