How do I find a job?
What do I want to major in?
What do I want to do with my life?
Career Services can help you with the answers to these questions and more by using the following 4 step process:
1. Learn about who you are by assessing your interests, abilities, skills, personality traits and values. This can be done by making a career counseling appointment or with on-line assessment tools.
2. Explore occupations with the assistance of the career services coordinator, on campus career resources, or through on-line career exploration resources.
3. Decide what career path and steps to take along your career journey. Assistance is provided in making these decisions.
4. Execute your career choice with the assistance of Job Placement strategies through Career Services. This office offers assistance to its prospective graduates and alumni in finding professional employment. SCC Career Services also provides a "Job Bank" for students and employees. It also offers "Employer Sign In" for employees who would like to list available job opportunities on-line with SCC. You may also want to check out on-line links that can assist you in this area.
