Become a Student in 5 Easy Steps!

____1. Complete the application for admissions.

____2. Send a copy of yourfinal high school transcripts, GED, and/or official copies of any college transcripts to the SCC Admission's Office.

____3. Apply for financial aid by filling out the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid). www.fafsa.ed.gov

The FAFSA determined eligibility for Pell Grants, State Grants, Voc-Tech Grants, College Work Study, SEOG(Student Education Opportunity Grant), and Student Loans.

____4. Submit current ACT or COMPASS scores to the Admission's Office. If you do not have current scores (taken in the past 2 years), you need to schedule an appointment.

___5. Attend Orientation at the campus you plan to attend.

Once you've been accepted as a student,submit test scores,and attended an orientation, you'll be ready to register for classes. The first time you register you'll need to make an appointment with an Enrollment Specialist.They'll help you pick the right classes for your degree and get you started off on the right foot.

After a semester or two, most current students register for their classes online. As long as you've met with your Enrollment Specialist and have a future semester outline, you're free to log in to Hawkweb and register on your own every semester. It's quick, easy, and you can do it whenever convenient for you.
