Welcome to the Career Clusters and Pathways Information Section!
Below you will find headings for each of the 6 Career Clusters in Iowa, which include:
- Agriscience and Natural Resources

- Health Sciences
Under each of these, you will see three categories:
- Skill List For This Cluster. Find skills identified by SCC faculty as important for success in entry level courses and programs at SCC. Use this as a guide when determining which high school courses are the best choices for this pathway.
- Drawing Board For Courses. Here's what's called a "drawing board". The top lets you to put in your high school courses. The bottom shows the pathways at SCC in this cluster and the courses in those programs. Since all of the courses won't fit on one page, that leads to the final piece you'll find, which is...
- SCC Academic Program Sheets. These sheets outline ALL the SCC courses within the pathways listed on the drawing boards.
Note: Some of the skill lists have national career clusters listed under the main heading at the top. They are numbered and correspond with some specific skills in the list. For instance, if you open the Business, Information Systems, and Marketing Skill list, there are four national career clusters that relate to this Iowa Career Cluster (1. Business, Management, and Administration, 2. Information Technology, 3. Finance, and 4. Marketing, Sales and Services).
