Board of Trustees
Southeastern Community College is governed by a five-member Board of Trustees elected from and by the citizens of five separate director districts. It is the Board’s responsibility to see that the college is well administered by the president and college staff, to establish institutional policy and to determine the effectiveness of the institution in fulfilling its mission to the area. The governing board operates in accord with a set of written policies.

Southeastern Community College is accredited by the Iowa State Department of Education.

Representing all residents within Central Lee Community School District, all of the Keokuk Community School District, and part of the Fort Madison Community School District that includes the Cedar Charleston Harrison Van Buren Precinct, the Jefferson West Montrose Precinct, the Marion Franklin Precinct, and the West Point Precinct.
Landen Hillyard
Board Vice Chairperson- Director District 2
Representing residents of part of Burlington Community School District including Burlington voting precinct 1 and Tama Township, all residents within Mediapolis Community School District, Morning Sun Community School District, WACO Community School District, Wapello Community School District, and Winfield-Mount Union Community School District.
Jeff Heland
Member - Director District 3
Representing residents of part of Burlington Community School District including Burlington voting precincts 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, and 8.
Moudy Nabulsi
Member - Director District 4
Representing residents of part of the Burlington Community School District including the Concordia Township Precinct, the Danville Town/Danville Township Precinct, the Flint River Township/Middletown Precinct, the Union Township Precinct, and the West Burlington Township. Also representing residents of part of Fort Madison Community School District including Fort Madison voting precincts 1, 2, 3, 4A, 4B, 5/Madison Township/JF Township, Green Bay Denmark Pleasant Ridge, Precinct 8 (Henry Co), Union Township (Des Moines County); and Washington. Also representing all residents of West Burlington Community School District.
