05/07/2018

West Burlington, IA – The Southeastern Community College (SCC) Auto Tech Club will host its annual Car Show on Saturday, May 12, from 9 a.m. - 2 p.m. The event will be held at SCC's West Burlington campus, rain or shine.

All entries are open to the public.

Participant judging will take place from 11 a.m. until noon. Cars will be judged in 20 different classes, including stock cars, motorcycles, and special interest.

At 2 p.m. plaques will be awarded for President's Choice, Best Paint and Best Interior, and Best in Show. Awards also will be given for first place in each of the 20 classes.

SCC Automotive Technology Professor, Wes Carpenter, says the Car Show is a great opportunity for SCC students to interact with car collectors in the area.

"The event is completely run by our students," he says. "It's fun to foster their love for cars by connecting them with area car enthusiasts."

Vehicle entries are open to the public. Registration is $15 per car in advance and $20 per car on the day of the show. All proceeds benefit the SCC Auto Tech Club.

Admission to attend and enjoy the vehicles is free. Music and food will add to the entertainment.
