Academic Achievement Center
Professional tutors are available during the week to assist students with English, math, and science. Peer tutors are available upon request for other subjects. The service is free for any SCC student.

The Admissions Office offers a secure environment for college placement assessments (COMPASS and COMPASS ESL), student make-up exams, and numerous other examinations required for select online and correspondence courses and professional certification programs.
SCC hosts two federally funded TRIO programs that assist first-generation college students and students from low-income families in pursuing a post-secondary education. The programs service eligible high school students in Burlington, Fort Madison, and Keokuk and eligible SCC students enrolled at the West Burlington campus.
