Join the Southeastern Community College Alumni Association (SCCAA)
You are SCC!
When SCC opened its doors in 1966 as a comprehensive community college, it already had a heritage of excellence, thanks to the pioneering efforts of its parent institutions, Burlington Junior College (est. 1920) and Keokuk Community College (est. 1953). Nearly 100,000 students have graduated and countless others have taken courses, programs, licensure seminars and workshops in our 100 years of offering public higher education in southeast Iowa,.
Our Invitation to You
Please take a moment to consider all the benefits and opportunities associated with joining the SCC Alumni Association.
Joining as an individual alumnus?
To celebrate 100 years of educating Blackhawks, we've cut the lifetime fee in half until December 31, 2020!
Note: If you successfully complete one credit hour – you are an alumnus of SCC! Joining SCC is easy and affordable! Students, graduates, couples and businesses are all eligible to join. Membership is so popular, even “wannabe’s” can join as Associate Members! Learn how.
If you have attended SCC or are a friend of the college, we invite you to join the SCCAA. Benefits of membership include:
- Stay connected or reconnect with the college and your fellow alumni
- Access our career services
- Use SCC libraries and multi-media equipment
- Receive 20% off SCC logo items
- Receive discounts and special invitations to reunions, homecomings, chapter activities, and other college events
How the SCCAA operates
Membership fees are used to defray the costs of printing and mailing membership cards, newsletters, and invitations. Donations and annual golf outing fundraiser proceeds help fund "Distinguished Alumni" awards, while minimal registration fees cover the cost of homecomings/reunions and other events. Alumni Office staff expenses are paid by SCC.
