SCC hosts special events throughout the year to showcase the College, recognize distinguished alumni and community members, and raise funds for important scholarships and programs. These events contribute over $250,000 in scholarship and college support funding annually.

A few of our events include:

  • Great Tastes Annual Fundraiser
  • Annual Scholarship Donor/Recipient Reception - held two Sundays before Thanksgiving from 2-4PM at the SCC West Burlington campus gymnasium. Family members are welcome! It's FREE! Call 319-208-5062 to RSVP.

Great Tastes Annual Fundraiser

The annual Great Tastes is the Foundation’s largest annual fundraiser. Net proceeds help fund scholarships, instructional mini-grants, and other important SCCF initiatives that support SCC and its students. The event includes fabulous food, wine, beer, and spirits tastings from local businesses, entertainment, as well as live and silent auctions. See the 2018 Great Tastes program for details. We are happy to report that the 2018 event was a ROUSING SUCCESS!! Last year our net was $47,000. And, while our 2018 stretch goal was $50,000, we actually netted nearly $53,000!!!
