WEST BURLINGTON, Iowa – Southeastern Community College will host a dedication and open house for the Rev. Dr. William Amos “Booker” Smith Sr. Activity Hall. The event will include a ribbon-cutting ceremony to celebrate the new FEMA saferoom/multi-purpose building.
Attendees can tour the facility and learn about its role in serving students and the community.
Guests are also welcome to stay for SCC’s annual Black History Banquet immediately following at 5:30 PM in the Blackhawk Recreation Center.
The event is free and open to the public.
