SCC Presidential Finalists Announced, Open Forums Scheduled

The Southeastern Community College Board of Trustees have announced the finalists for its presidential search. Out of a field of 29 applicants, the search committee has selected three for formal interviews.

They are:

Dr. Michael Ash, Executive Assistant to the President for Resource Development and External Affairs, State Fair Community College, Sedalia, Missouri.

Dr. Keith Cornille, Vice President of Student Development, Madison College, Madison, Wisconsin.

Dr. Dale Doty, Vice President for Academic Affairs, Florence-Darlington Technical College, Florence, South Carolina.

The Board of Trustees will interview the candidates on July 30 and 31. It has also scheduled open forums for SCC faculty and staff, and the public to meet the candidates.

The schedule is as follows:

West Burlington Campus, Room 123

July 30   9:00 to 10:00 AM              Dale Doty

July 30   2:00 to 3:00 PM                 Keith Cornille

July 31   2:00 to 3:00 PM                 Michael Ash

 

Keokuk Campus, Room 511

Following the candidate interviews and open forums, on Tuesday, July 31, the Board will hold a public input session at approx 5:30PM in the WB Boardroom. The public is invited to attend.

SCC’s current president, Dr. Beverly Simone announced her retirement in April. She will continue to serve as president until the presidential search process is complete.
