The Academic Achievement Center provides FREE tutoring services to current SCC students. Professional and peer tutor are available to help you with many subjects, including math, reading, writing and more. Services are available by appointment and on a walk-in basis.

Peer Tutors
Peer tutors are students just like you, and they are available in many subjects.
In order to request a peer tutor, click on the "Request a tutor" button below. You will be contacted once your information is received.
Get paid to BE a peer tutor! Apply by clicking the "Be a tutor" button below. You must have received an "A" or "B" in the course you want to tutor OR receive instructor recommendation. You will be contacted once your information is received.
Preparing for a Tutoring Session
Students should prepare for tutoring sessions by bringing the course textbook, class notes, quizzes or tests that have been graded and returned by the instructor, course syllabus, and the class assignment. Sessions are limited to 50 minutes, so come to your tutoring session prepared.
Resources
In addition to in-person assistance, many resources are available online to assist students in achieving academic success. Staff in the AAC can provide tips and support for using these resources.
