Nominate an Alumni
Online nominations for Distinguished Alumni Awards are due annually on August 1 and are considered by the SCCAA Board at their October meeting. Recommendations are taken to the SCC Board of Trustees' November meeting for confirmation.
Online nominations can be submitted at any time before the next annual deadline of 4:30 p.m. on August 1. However, nominations can be submitted at any time throughout the year for consideration for the following year's award. At least one additional recommendation letter should accompany the nomination. The information on this form is kept in the strictest confidence. The awards are presented during the Annual Commencements at Keokuk or West Burlington in May.
To be eligible for nomination, the nominee should have:
- Earned 30 credit hours at Southeastern Community College or was considered a full-time student for two semesters, and
- Earned the respect and trust of his/her associates in his/her chosen field, or
- Made substantial contributions to the good of his/her fellow human beings or be recognized as an outstanding practitioner of his/her profession or vocation, or
- Served as a motivational force for others in a positive manner.
Please secure at least one additional recommendation letter to support your nomination.
