The music program at Southeastern Community College will present an MLK Tribute concert at SCC's Murray Art Gallery on Monday, January 16 at 11 am.
Special guests Anthony Russell and Landon Oliver from the All-American Jazz Collective, based in North Carolina, will perform alongside SCC students, alumni, and faculty.
Attendees can expect an impactful concert.
“The program will include musical numbers stitched together by the words of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr,” explains Dr. Danial Pappas, SCC music program coordinator. “It will be both moving and reflective in nature, but also full of hope and joy.”
Prior to Monday's concert, folks can catch the musicians at Elliot's Test Kitchen in Fort Madison on Jan. 13 at 7 pm and The Art Center of Burlington on Jan. 14 at 6 pm.
All events are free and open to the public.
