Blackhawk Bike Share Program
Need an easy, affordable way to get around?
SCC’s Blackhawk Bike Share makes it simple.
Current SCC students can borrow a campus bike for free during the school year. Whether you’re headed to class, running errands, or cruising the trails, our bikes are ready when you are.
How it works:
- Fill out the online request form in Hawknet
- On your first checkout, you’ll sign a quick waiver and agreement.
- Then, you’re free to ride!
There’s no cost to rent a bike, but if it’s lost or damaged beyond normal wear, replacement fees may apply. Bikes are available first-come, first-served.
Rental Dates
- Fall Term: Aug. 1 - Oct. 31
- Spring Term: March 1 - May 15
- Summer Term: June 1 - July 24
Where You Can Go
Take a scenic ride along local bike paths, explore downtown Burlington, or just hang with friends—your ride, your choice.
Safety First
Helmets are available at checkout. All bikes are professionally maintained by Bickel’s Cycling & Fitness in West Burlington. If your bike needs a repair, contact the Student Life Office to get it scheduled.
