Successful completion of this course waives
the DOT motorcycle driving test (written test still
required) and fulfills Iowa’s mandatory safety
requirement for riders under 18. Open to new
or experienced riders, the class covers essential
riding techniques and safety habits in classroom
and hands-on settings. Motorcycles are provided,
and participants must bring a helmet, gloves, eye
protection, long sleeves, long pants, and boots or
shoes that cover the ankles.
