Why SCC Auto Tech?
Meet the players: SCC has close relationships with area automotive companies and employers. They know that our grads know their stuff and are always looking to hire skilled and hard-working techs.
Master instructors: Learn from professors with decades of real-world experience in our clean and spacious automotive lab, using state-of-the-art technology used in shops today.
Think like an engineer: Explore the principles and applications of electricity and electronics by learning the foundations of electrical engineering.
Working facility: SCC's automotive technology lab is a working shop, so you'll get plenty of time using the same equipment used in the field today as you troubleshoot and diagnose vehicle system failures and then perform the tasks to get them back on the road operating safely and efficiently.
Real-world experience: Every student in the program completes a semester-long internship in a local repair facility. That means you'll get real world experience and make contacts in the industry so you're able to land a great job once you complete the program.
Special partnership with Toyota. SCC is the only community college in the entire Midwest and just one of a handful of community colleges in the country with a formal partnership with Toyota. That means you'll get specialized training to repair cars made by the number one auto maker in the world right here.

Engine Diagnostics and Repair: Understand the inner-workings of a car and learn to fix it like a pro.
