Computer Aided Design (CAD) / Precision Machining

Interested in creating and designing? Take hands-on classes while you’re in high school and earn college credit. These courses count toward both CAD and Precision Machining programs, so you can explore your interests and get a head start. After high school graduation, continue at SCC in either program.  Saving time and money while preparing for high-demand careers.

Where are classes offered?

Classes are held on the West Burlington campus.

How long does it take?

The academy is one school year. Students who complete this academy can trim one semester off their progress to their AAS degree in either program.

How many college credits can I earn?

Students who complete this academy will earn 12-18 credits.  All credits count towards either the Precision Machining and CNC Technology AAS or Computer Aided Design Technology: Career Pathway AAS.
