WEST BURLINGTON, Iowa - Two Southeastern Community College employees were recognized for their outstanding service at the Community Colleges for Iowa Annual Convention and Trade Show in Des Moines on December 3.
Dr. Lori Muntz earned the Outstanding Faculty Award, and Jeff Ebbing received the Outstanding Staff Award.
“These recognitions are well deserved,” said SCC President Dr. Michael Ash. “Lori and Jeff represent the best of SCC. Their work makes a real difference in the lives of our students and the future of our college.”
Dr. Muntz, English Instructor, is known for her dynamic teaching style, campus leadership, and deep commitment to students. She serves as the advisor for both the Di Dante Literature & Writing Club and Prism 360, a group dedicated to supporting LGBTQIA+ students and building inclusive community. She frequently organizes poetry nights, writing workshops, and student-led events that bring creativity and connection to campus. Her impact extends far beyond the classroom, leaving a lasting impression on many students over the years.
Jeff Ebbing, Director of Marketing and Communications, was recognized for more than two decades of service telling SCC’s story and building its brand. Through strategic messaging, enrollment campaigns, and community engagement, Jeff’s work has helped connect thousands of students and families with the opportunities SCC offers. His creative vision and long-standing dedication continue to shape how the college is seen and supported throughout the region.
