IGNITE Mastering Manufacturing
Explore advanced manufacturing while building skills employers value.
IGNITE gives high school students hands-on experience with robotics, automation, CAD, CNC programming, welding, and other advanced manufacturing technologies. You'll complete real projects, build practical skills, and prepare for future education or careers in modern manufacturing.
What you'll learn
Through hands-on projects, you'll explore:
- Robotics and automation
- CAD and 3D modeling
- CNC programming
- Welding
- Safety and measurement
- Smart manufacturing systems
- Teamwork and problem-solving
Students who complete both courses have the opportunity to sit for the SACA C-101 Certified Industry 4.0 Associate I – Basic Operations certification, an industry-recognized credential that demonstrates foundational skills in advanced manufacturing.

Introduction to Advanced Manufacturing
Build skills in robotics, automation, design, CNC programming, safety, and measurement
while completing hands-on projects.
Schedule: Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, 1–3 p.m.
Location: SCC Keokuk or West Burlington

Spring 2027
Mechatronics Systems
Explore sensors, robotics, CAD modeling, lean manufacturing principles, and teamwork
through mini-projects and a final team project.
Schedule: Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, 1–3 p.m.
